34 week update

Wow I have blogged a lot this week! I suppose that is only natural since we are nearing the end of the pregnancy. We will be continuing this  blog as a "family" journal after the baby is born but it is unlikely that we will write near as often. Speaking of B's birth, we are 42 days from my due date and 28 days from being considered full term. Of course I am a bit optomistic, but that means that we could potentially meet her in less than a month!

34 week doctors appointment yesterday. I saw a new doctor who I had not seen before, and the last one who could potentially be delivering us, if she is on call. I am pleased to report I liked her a lot. She was able to tell that the baby was finally head down (WOOT!) by the position of her head and where she was able to pick up the heartbeat. As with every visit, the (lack of) weight gain issue got addressed again. She says she is not necessarily worried but is ordering a growth ultrasound for Aug 24th to make sure that the baby is on track for delivery.

I have another appointment in 2 weeks (36 weeks) and then weekly every week after that until I go into labor. Now that Matt's hours have changed at work, he can go to all of them with me! I am very excited about that.

Although its been a (mostly) great ride, I am definitely ready to make the move from crazy hormonal prego lady to mama. I dont have symptoms near as bad as most people at this stage, as I am simply tired a lot, have to use the bathroom a LOT and am up most of the night because I cannot get comfortable. However my rings still fit, I still have no heartburn and every day is generally a great day.
