36 week update- baby dropping and OB appt.

I am doing this post a day early because my 36 week appointment was today and I want to update while it is still fresh in my mind.

On Monday when I woke up I had the weirdest feeling of something "sliding down" inside my abdomen. It was the craziest sensation!! Now every time I sit up or try to walk, for the first few moments I feel a lot of pressure on my pelvis. Also, I am also using the ladies room at least twice as much, and I dont feel feet up in my ribs like before- so I am pretty sure she has dropped!!

Also, as I mentioned before, I went in for my 36 week prenatal appointment today. The doctor listened to thebaby's  heartbeat, took a blood sample to check my hemoglobin, swabbed me for Group B Strep and then checked me for dialation. She said I was 1 centimeter dialated, which I know may not mean anything but is still exciting that things are progressing!! She also repeated the results of the hospital ultrasound, that baby is in the 80th percentile and although I still havent gained much weight and she doesnt think she will be early, she is going to be a BIG baby. Thank God for these big hips. I still cant help hoping she will be early though- I can hope can't I? :-)
